The rolled ankle chino trend has been impossible to ignore for months now and G.H. Bass & Co – our newest brand in store – has the perfect shoe to suit the look.

The Camp Moc Decker Pull Up in seahorse brown shadow leather combines the signature workmanship for which G.H. Bass & Co is famed, with the laidback, casual appeal of a boat shoe. Hand-stitched, unlined, with a lightweight rubber sole, antique brass detailing and G.H. Bass & Co embossed branding, this classic style takes the traditional moccasin and brings it bang up to date for SS17.

Could Mulberry win the award for the cutest Christmas advert of 2016? If a cast of kids and the writer behind The Grand Budapest Hotel have anything to do with it, they just might do that.

Today saw the release of part one of Mulberry’s Christmas 2016 video, which sees a straight-laced mother, bickering sisters and secretive son gather for a traditional British Christmas.

Speaking to Drapers about the advert, Mulberry creative director Johnny Coca said: “When I was a kid, all that I wanted to do was to be grown up so I could be like my dad. Now that I am an adult, I just want to be a kid again. Christmas brings out the kid in all of us, and this is what I love about using children to tell our story this year.”

Part one of the the Mulberry Christmas tale ends with the older sister, Rose, giving her own beloved Mulberry Bayswater bag to her younger sister, wrapping it in leftover scraps of paper as that is all she has available to her so last-minute. And so Mulberry’s seasonal slogan ‘It’s what’s inside that counts’ starts to make perfect sense.

The second part of the advert will be released later this month, so stay tuned. In the meantime you can see part one of Mulberry’s Christmas 2016 video here

Robinsons is the leading independent official stockist of Mulberry in the region, with a huge collection of Mulberry bags, purses, scarves and more available in store now.

Merry Christmas, Mulberry!

When it came to crafting “the best possible shoe for the purpose for which it was intended”, George Henry Bass of G.H. Bass & Co. was a man on a mission. His technique for creating shoes for adventurers and heroes was based upon decades of innovation and technological development, merged with style to create a shoe people couldn’t wait to wear.

G.H. Bass & Co. shoes have been worn for almost a century and a half, becoming an American icon in the years since the brand was established in 1876. Most importantly of all though, is that these are shoes we want to wear. As stylish as they are utilitarian, built upon a heritage based on ‘hard service’ footwear and a future befitting of the modern man, G.H. Bass & Co. shoes are our must have for AW16.

The inspiration for the G.H. Bass & Co. Quail Hunter Mid Lace Boot came from the archives, but this winter-ready style is as current as they come. With a genuine dark brown leather upper, handsewn construction, classic moc stitching and the brand’s signature logo detailing, the boot brings a century and a half of innovation bang up to date, bringing the style from Maine, USA, to the shelves of our designer fashion boutique. In the words of G.H. Bass himself “A true original is always in demand.”

Mulberry’s new Christmas advert will strike a chord with those of you whose gift-wrapping skills leave a little, or a lot, to be desired. What is it about sellotape and wrapping paper that ties some of us up in knots? Fortunately, it is what’s inside that counts when it comes to Christmas and nothing steals the show on Christmas morning quite like a little Mulberry.

The time has come to start ticking off your Christmas list and these are the Mulberry bags guaranteed to put a smile on the faces of those women in your life. With each handbag created by Mulberry’s new designer, Johnny Coca, your leading ladies will swear blind you must have had help from someone other than Santa Claus and his elves to get Christmas quite so right this year.

Girlfriend, wife, mum or sister; whoever your party girl is, the chances are she’s never far from the dance floor. The Mulberry Darley Clutch is the kind of handbag that can take an outfit from nought to wow in mere minutes, something we women never take for granted!

We like to think of a busy mum’s handbag as the wardrobe which leads to Narnia. From the outside, it looks just like any other handbag, but inside it is cavernous and seemingly endless in space. In order to keep up with everyday family life, mum’s bag must accommodate iPads, reading books, family diaries and snacks galore, but that doesn’t mean she has to compromise on her own style.

The Mulberry New Bayswater by Mulberry is Johnny Coca’s refined take on the accessory brand’s most iconic handbag and, not only has it got all the space mums need, it also comes with an optional shoulder strap, which mum will undoubtedly appreciate when she has one baby balanced on her hip, another held by the hand and the supermarket run to contend with.

What do you buy the woman who not only has everything, but who gets everything long before it appears on the fashion radar of the masses? The key is to think outside the box.

The Mulberry Chester Shearling is one of the most unique pieces in the AW16 Mulberry collection and adds a playful spin to one of the designer’s most grown-up looks. With vintage-style structure and tactile shearling detail, this isn’t a bag which – god-forbid – the trendsetter in your life is going to find herself wearing at the same time as ten others any time soon.

Our award-winning boutique is an official stockist of Mulberry. Visit Robinsons today to shop Mulberry handbags, purses and accessories in our dedicated Mulberry department. The best part of all? We will even wrap them for you!
