Chinos sit in that sweet spot somewhere between denim and tailored trousers. The epitome of the smart casual dress code, they’re the hardwearing and hardworking style capable of taking you everywhere from the office to the polo matches and the beach bar. Few other trouser styles have the same ability to work with so many looks. Add a Ralph Lauren t-shirt or cable knit jumper and they’re preppy, while a crew neck tee and open chambray shirt lends a more casual approach. When a workday calls for a smarter look, a white linen shirt or tucked-in tee and blazer combination will fit the brief.

Chinos have been around for years, thanks to their ability to adapt. From the battlefields of WW1 to the skate parks of the 90s, their durable nature has made them a mainstay in men’s’ wardrobes ever since.

Jacob Cohen addresses our need for new season chinos once again with his collection of perfectly tailored, flattering pairs in an array of colours. In cobalt blue, beige, navy and khaki, the slim-fit trousers will elevate your off-duty looks no end and a high cotton content means they’ll keep doing so for years.

Shop your new season chinos in store now at Robinsons, the region’s leading Jacob Cohen stockist.

Valentine’s Day isn’t just for lucky in love ladies - the main man in your life deserves something special too. And if it just so happens to be super stylish, well isn’t that just all the better?

After sharing our Valentine’s Day gift guide for the girls, we’re turning our attention to gifts for the fashion conscious fellas. There isn’t an aftershave or Toblerone in sight. Instead, we’re getting your man date night ready in ETON, Jacob Cohen, Hugo Boss and the new brand in our Bawtry designer boutique, John Varvatos. Plus, we all know that the beauty of a shopping spree for someone else is that you don’t have to hide the receipt when you get home.

If the humble tie is good enough for Richard Gere’s millionaire tastes in Pretty Woman, it’s good enough for us, especially when that slip of silk comes courtesy of ETON.

We’re yet to meet a man who doesn’t secretly harbour dreams of playing 007. Let him make like Mr Bond in this John Varvatos goat suede jacket, as seen on the man himself in the closing scenes of Spectre. If he prefers the classic leather biker jacket, it had better be Belstaff.

Upgrade his stinky sneakers to something a little more, how shall we put this…high fashion. These Emporio Armani trainers are new for SS18 and we’re really feeling the khaki/grey colour way.

Jeans might not scream romance but it’s a different matter altogether when they’re handmade Jacob Cohen creations with solid gold and crocodile skin accents. Nothing says ‘I love you’ quite like limited edition.

With less than two weeks to go until Cupid fires his arrow, it’s time to visit us in store to shop Valentine’s Day gifts that will leave him love-struck. Visit our Bawtry boutique today at DN10 6JH, where love is in the air and our sales team is on hand to help find something special for the man who has everything.

They’re the second skin we turn to time and time again when we just don’t know what to wear. Throw on and go, Jacob Cohen jeans never let us down. With heels for hot nights out and white trainers and our leather biker jacket the morning after, there is hardly a happening our jeans can’t help us out in. We can’t imagine a world without them and falling hard for the maestro’s marvellous denims means we’re always thinking up new ways to wear them. Here are some of our favourite, fresh ways to wear your Jacob Cohen jeans. Which will you give a go this weekend?

Business never looked better and wearing this season’s must-have blazer with your skinnies is the best possible way to mix business with pleasure.

No, not in the traditional sense. Layering a midi-dress over your denim emerged as one of the big looks of the recent Fashion Weeks. Soft fabrics like chiffon and silk contrast beautifully against more rigid denim.

There’s little sexier than a subtle flash of flesh between your heels and hem; the ankle is an erogenous zone, don’t you know! Have your denims tailored with a slight crop or go it alone if you’re feeling brave. Raw hems are in vogue this season.

Whether it is dress down Friday or you’re one of the fortunate few who can get away with denim in the office, an immaculately cut white shirt can keep your Jacob Cohen denim from veering too close to casual. Add heels for the office and switch to box-fresh white trainers when the weekend rolls around.

How will your wear your Jacob Cohen jeans this weekend? Visit Robinsons today to shop new season styles from the denim genius. Call in store at DN10 6JH. We’re open 7 days a week with FREE parking.

As official stockists of specialist denim brands including True Religion and Jacob Cohen, it’s safe to say that we have this thing with denim.

Jeffrey Lubell, CEO of True Religion, once said “True religion meant there’s really only one religion in the world. That’s people, and we all wear jeans”

Jeans are the fashion’s common denominator. We all appreciate a great pair and we all understand how important great quality jeans are to our wardrobes. But do you know how to look after yours? Designer denim comes at a price but follow these simple denim care tips and your new jeans will last you a lifetime.

It’s the age-old denim dilemma; to wash or not to wash? When you have paid good money for the perfect fade, it makes no sense to lose it all in the first few washes and find yourself left with a rather 80’s acid wash. On the other hand, a great pair of jeans will be wasted on you if you smell like you have shunned showers for the last week. Advice is conflicting but according to the denim experts, your jeans should be washer bound after about ten wears. Any less and you risk losing the unique character jeans develop over those all-important first few wears (known as whiskering and honeycombing).

Jeans have been around since the 19th century and we’re confident in saying that the workers wearing them at the peak of the Gold Rush weren’t putting them on a spin cycle every few days. Heavy denim like that used by True Religion and Jacob Cohen is built to last; the delicate part is the wash. Harsh detergents can wash out that indigo tint, so look for one that promises to care for your colours and which will work on a cold-water wash, something else that will keep that colour.

When it comes to drying your denim, the tumble dryer is enemy number one. Even a quick spin in the dryer will drain the colour from your jeans quick enough to see the colour drain from your face when you take them out. It’ll affect their shape too. Hang up your jeans and allow them to air dry to preserve their fit and fade. Take them off the hanger once dry and store folded and out of direct sunlight.
